You don’t have to go through it alone.
In life, there are good moments, and there are bad ones. There are times when everything flows and the future looks bright. There are moments when we can be at peace with ourselves, and the world around us is full of smiles, joy, and possibilities. Those moments are wonderful — let us enjoy them.
Then there are the other kinds of moments. We all have them. Moments of cold, darkness, and loneliness; grey, frozen moments of emptiness, or painfully tense periods of conflict, difficult choices, and letting go. Those moments can feel endless, but we get through them. Things change in time; the world keeps moving, even if we ourselves are stuck.
Sometimes, however, it is hard to believe in change. Sometimes our own strength is not enough to carry the burden that has piled on our shoulders. In those times, we need each other: friends, families, communities. And for those situations, there are also different kinds of services and professionals — including me.
I have got time for you
I am here if you want to pour out your heart, cry, or allow yourself to feel small. I am also here if you have grown tired of feeling small; if you are angry, or wish you could be; if you are seeking new perspectives, hope, or the courage to dream; if you are looking for connection with yourself and others; if you want to grow.
My starting point is a person’s wish for change — or even just a cautious wish to have a wish! The desire to be heard is a good beginning, and at some point you might even dare to listen to yourself. Themes such as loneliness and feeling like an outsider, being bullied, insomnia, parenthood challenges, and exhaustion are especially close to me. I also have experience with treatment-related fears, such as dental anxiety and needle phobia.
At heart, I am a humanist, and my first degree is a Master’s in Literature. I am also a licensed social councelor (sosionomi) certified by Valvira, and in 2025 I completed Shortum’s short-term cognitive-analytic therapy training. Beyond brief therapy, I have experience in crisis work with MIELI ry services and at a shelter for abused women, supporting parents through child welfare and family services, and using literature therapy as a tool. As a social and crisis counselor, I have worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges and witnessed how an open and safe connection with another person often becomes the key to finding hope and recognizing one’s own resources.
I have also realized that solutions are not always found through talking; sometimes we need to draw, write, shadowbox, go out in the world — be it the park or the feared dentist appointment. We can also tackle those stressful application forms and overdue bills right now, and not let them pile up together with our anxiety. So many things become easier when done together!
I see clients at Lapinlahden Lähde on Mondays and Tuesdays, and at my workspace in Pasila on Fridays. By arrangement, we can also meet for a walk in the park or any public space in Helsinki. Both daytime and evening appointments are available.
